SEMTEC was founded in 1976 as a consulting analytical laboratory utilizing the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS).

Many of our original clients were in the semiconductor industry, but the power and versatility of the SEM/EDS are valuable in diverse fields such as metallurgical failure analysis, product liability, legal evidence and mining geology.

True to our beginnings, we will continue to provide professional analytical consulting and facilities. Several of our services include scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy, cross sectioning, digital x-ray imaging and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FeSEM).  See more details in our Services page.
